Futures markets point to a lower opening of the European cash session. Much weaker than expected monthly data from China can be named as a reason behind a slgihtly weaker performance of risky assets at the beginning of a new week. Economy calendar for today lacks top tier releases. Investors will be offered some second-tier data from Poland, United States and Canada but those rarely have a big impact on market prices. Take-Two Interactive and Tencent Music will release earnings after close of the Wall Street session today.

1:00 pm BST – Poland, core CPI inflation for April. Expected: 7.6% YoY. Previous: 6.9% YoY

1:15 pm BST – Canada, housing starts for April. Expected: 246.6k. Previous: 246.2k

1:30 pm BST – US, New York Empire index for May. Expected: 16.5. Previous: 24.6

1:30 pm BST – Canada, wholesale trade for March. Expected: -0.2% MoM. Previous: -0.4% MoM
