Economic Calendar

  • Numerous markets closed due to Easter holidays
  • No trading on majority of equity indices as well as commodities
  • Second-tier data releases from the United States

Easter holidays have arrived on the markets. Traders should expect much thinner liquidity conditions throughout the day as many of the European and North American markets will remain shut today. There will be no trading not only on the stock markets but also across many commodity markets (see the list below). Having said that, trading today is likely to be centered on the FX and cryptocurrency markets. There are some second-tier economic releases scheduled for today but it is unlikely they will have a big impact on the markets.

9:00 am BST – Poland, CPI inflation for March (final). First release: 10.9% YoY

9:00 am BST – Italy, CPI inflation for March (final). First release: 6.7% YoY

1:30 pm BST – US, New York Empire index for April. Expected: 0.5. Previous: -11.8

2:15 pm BST – US, industrial production for March. Expected: 0.4% MoM. Previous: 0.5% MoM

No trading today due to Easter holidays
