During the period, the number of unemployment benefits increased, with the largest rises seen in agriculture, landscaping, and fisheries (+7.3%); the food and luxury food industry (+7%); construction (+5.1%); government (+4.5%); and other commercial services (+3.6%). Compared to a year earlier, the jobless rate was 0.2 percentage points higher than the 3.6% recorded in May 2024.
