Finland Producer Deflation Cools in July

Producer prices in Finland fell 1.5% year-on-year in July 2025, following a 1.8% decline in June. This marked the fourth consecutive month of falling producer prices, though the slowest drop in three months. Deflation eased in mining and quarrying (-2.6% vs -6.5% in June), while prices rebounded for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning (1.2% vs -8.9%). Price growth also moderated for water supply, sewage, waste management, and remediation services (2.8% vs 4.5%), whereas costs for manufactured products continued to decline (-1.8% vs -1.4%). Among individual products, lower prices for refined petroleum and pulp were partly offset by increases in food products and precious metals. On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.1%, the same pace as in June.
