Finnish Industrial Output Growth Slows to 4-Month Low

Industrial production in Finland expanded by 0.4% year-on-year in June 2025, a significant slowdown from the downwardly revised 5.2% growth in May. Despite marking the fourth consecutive month of expansion, it was the softest increase in the current growth streak. The moderation was mainly driven by slower output growth in manufacturing (1.1% vs 4.5% in May), alongside contractions in both mining and quarrying (-1.1% vs 18.5%) and electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (-1.0% vs 8.3%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output contracted by 0.4% in June, following a downwardly revised 0.3% decline in May.
