Saudi Industrial Output Growth Highest Since 2023
Industrial production in Saudi Arabia expanded by 6.5% year-on-year in July 2025 from a downwardly revised 6.1% increase in June. It marked the fastest growth in industrial output since January 2023, primarily driven by a 7% rise in manufacturing output, supported by strong gains in coke and refined petroleum products (13.8%) and chemicals and chemical products (8.9%). Additionally, mining and quarrying activity grew by 6.5%, as the country’s oil production rose to 9.53 million barrels per day in July 2025, up from 8.94 million barrels in July 2024. The water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation sector also recorded robust growth, rising by 8.5%, while electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply increased by 0.9%. On a monthly basis, industrial output edged up to 1.3% from a downwardly revised 1.2% increase in June.
