Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , Glass and Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 0.70% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Johnson Health Tech Co Ltd (TW:1736), which rose 9.89% or 18.50 points to trade at 205.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortune Information Systems Corp (TW:2468) added 9.87% or 3.40 points to end at 37.85 and IEI Integration Corp (TW:3022) was up 9.81% or 10.50 points to 117.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Uniflex Technology Inc (TW:3321), which fell 9.61% or 1.10 points to trade at 10.35 at the close. Sanitar Co Ltd (TW:1817) declined 7.70% or 3.85 points to end at 46.15 and Associated Industries China Inc (TW:9912) was down 3.72% or 0.50 points to 12.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.79% or 0.54 to $67.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.27% or 0.19 to hit $70.85 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 7.39 to trade at $2,927.99 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.04% to 32.80, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 105.48.
