Turkey Trade Deficit Widens in June
Turkey’s trade deficit widened to USD 8.2 billion in June 2025 from USD 5.9 billion in the same month of the previous year, according to preliminary estimates from the Trade Ministry. Exports rose by 7.8% year-on-year to a one-year low of USD 20.5 billion, while imports increased at a faster pace of 15.2% to a four-month low of USD 28.7 billion. In the first half of the year, the country’s total exports reached USD 131.4 billion, marking a 4.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
