UK construction output rose 1.5% year-on-year in June 2025, up from 1.4% in the previous month and above market expectations of 1.3%, marking the 11th consecutive monthly gain. New work grew for the seventh month in a row, though at a slower pace (2.7% vs. 3.7% in May), while repair and maintenance was flat after a 1.5% drop previously. Monthly, construction output increased 0.3%, reversing May’s 0.5% fall. Five of nine sectors posted growth, with the strongest contributions from private housing repair and maintenance (3.7%) and non-housing repair and maintenance (0.8%).
