Taiwan’s consumer confidence index increased to 68.77 in September 2026 from 65.01 in the previous month, marking the highest reading since March 2025. Confidence strengthened across all six core sub-indicators, including domestic economic conditions (87.02 vs 81.20 in August), household finances (82.64 vs 78.12), stock investment prospects (35.42 vs 27.72), durable goods purchases (93.78 vs 93.14), labor market expectations (76.7 vs 73.32), and future price expectations (37.05 vs 36.57). Other additional indicators also improved: current health conditions (90.35 vs 86.94), expected future health conditions (84.77 vs 82.36), and the timing of real estate purchases (98.84 vs 90.35).
